Physical Description:
Nadira is 170cm tall with a fairly slim build and she has short black hair that she leaves natural. Her short haircut allows for her striking facial features to shine. She has dark brown eyes which you will usually see lined with eye liner and mascara as well as a soft grey eyeshadow. She carries herself with grace and poise, confidence radiating off of her.

Mental Description:
From a young age Nadira had this special aura about her. Her confidence knew no bounds as she excelled in her classes and athletics. She was a social butterfly and attracted people to her for her radiant personality, her fierce loyalty, her creativity and her generosity. Despite her seeming perfect and well put together on the outside, on the inside she fights with needing things to be perfect and always spreading herself thin to help others.

Biography:
Nadira was born on August 18th, 1991 in Mombasa, Kenya and was the only child of her parents Amani and Hamza Bakari. Her mother Amani attended Uagadou as a child but chose to remain amongst her non-magical family and eventually married one of her childhood friends, Hamza, who was also non-magical. When the two had been married Hamza knew of Amani’s magic and was very accepting of it, thinking of it as a special gift. Knowing their baby girl could also become a witch, they decided to let her be educated in non-magical elementary school until the time her powers came forward. Growing up she loved exploring the old architecture of the city while also enjoying the sunny beaches.
When the time came for her to attend Uagadou, she was beyond excited for what the school had to offer. She was in awe of the school from the first moment she stepped foot into the mountain school. Her perfectionist personality lent to her excelling in school, especially in potions where she quickly discovered she was quite fond of the subject. This continued on through the years with her taking up alchemy as her specialization for the remaining school years.
After she graduated, she spent some time traveling the world. She explored different magical cultures, spent time around rare and interesting ingredients and rare potions. This led to her eventually taking up the spot of potions professor at Uagadou after the position opened up. She enjoyed the position as she loved seeing her young students experimenting and asking lots of questions. Nadira was one of those professors that would always stay after class or be around during free periods to discuss questions with her students.
Nadira held such a fondness for her students, wanting to see them succeed and help in that goal however she could. So when the opportunity came to step in as Headmistress of the school, she knew she had to take it to help see the school she held so dear grow and thrive.

First Instance of Magic:
Nadira’ a first instance of magic happened when she was 7 at a family event she went to at her mother’s sister’s house. One of her younger cousins stole the stuffed animal she always carried with her at the time and ran off with it. She had gotten so upset that as she went to run after him to get it back she made the stuffed animal fly out of the cousin’s arms and through the air back to her. Luckily this was amongst her wizarding family who, upon seeing the display, were all clapping and excited for her magical powers to have arrived.
