My name is April Evermore.
I was born on April 23rd, in the year 2014.
I have shoulder-length, thick dark-brown curly hair, caramel-brown skin, blue eyes with round specks, freckles, and I am4 foot 7inches tall.
I live with my mother, Tara Surya-Evermore, and my father, Atlas Evermore, at Evermore Manor. Because of my family’s old reputation, people are often sceptical of us, even though our views and ways have changed over the years.
My family originally lived in England for generations, but after the war my parents decided they wanted somewhere quieter and more private to raise me. They settled in Wales because of its isolation, old magical history, and the fact that very few wizarding families lived near the manor. Evermore Manor sits near the countryside, surrounded by forests and hills, far away from busy towns and unnecessary attention. My mother says the silence helps people think clearly, while my father simply prefers the privacy. Personally, I like it because it feels ancient, almost like the land itself is hiding secrets.
I do not know much about muggles or muggle culture because my parents were never very interested in involving themselves too deeply in that world.
I had my first magical occurrence when I was seven years old. My parents had hired someone for me to talk to since they were not around much. She was a very well read historian, who would tell me many stories. One afternoon, while she was telling me a rather boring story, I became so focused on the stack of books beside me that I did not notice them beginning to shake. A moment later, one of the books suddenly lifted into the air on its own and flew straight across the room, knocking over a vase. My mother rushed in after hearing the crash, only to find me staring at the floating book in complete shock.
Ever since then, I have been deeply interested in magic and determined to prove myself. I am the type of person who stands up for what is right. I only take risks when absolutely necessary, and I am extremely ambitious. I love reading books, and I have written numerous short stories with illustrations created by me. I have been curious about magic and eager to learn more about the wizarding world. Although I do not know much yet about the subjects taught at Hogwarts, I already enjoy reading and learning about magical history whenever I can. I spend a lot of my free time reading books, writing short stories, and illustrating them myself. I ask a lot of questions and usually try finding the answers on my own. While I have not fully decided what subjects interest me the most yet, I am especially excited to learn more about Charms, Potions,the dark arye and magical history once I begin my studies at Hogwarts.
I am good at my studies and enjoy sports like Gobstones and Quidditch. I do not have many friends and usually spend most of my time with my cousins or chatting with the house-elves. I ask a lot of questions and prefer finding the answers myself. I am friendly, though not overly so, and I am not the type to get homesick easily. I can be sarcastic at times, but I have a good sense of humour.
I am NOT the type to bully anyone, and I would gladly stand up to someone who does. I do not interfere in other people’s business, and I know when to speak and when to stay silent. I hate being interrupted mid-sentence and will usually stare at the person until they realise what they have done.
At the end of the day, although there is still mistrust surrounding old pureblood families,
I will prove them wrong.
